Mr M I Khan, DIG(Pers – BSF), who himself is a well known writer, kathak dancer, photographer, commentator and an ace cyclist too was the Chief Guest of the function. Other distinguished personalities present on the dais included Shri Suresh Kumar, CMD Sudarshan TV Channel, Ms Malti Sahai, Former DG, FFFI, well known RJ Shamshir Luthra and Dean Business Studies, Prof T S Bedi. Prominent amongst the audience included names like Gurbir Grewal, Jiten Hazarika, Dr Ravi Karoop, S Seth, O P Bansal, S Mukherji, M M Bhaskar and A K Khanna. |
Some of the themes on which the movies selected for screening were shown included Drug Addiction, Plight of the Street Children, Female Feticide, Girl Child and her Future, Working Towards a Peaceful Society, Anti Sikh Riots, A Juvenile Home, Media Hype and the like. Speaking on the occasion, Director AAFT, Prof Sandeep Marwah; who has produced over 1000 short films for students of the previous 55 batches said that the festival had served the primary objective of inspiring and motivating students of the 56th batch on the standards of quality attained by their alumni as much as for offering a platform to the successful directors to interact with their juniors and discuss their thought process for selection of these themes and the problems encountered with solutions found to complete their production ventures. Prof Bedi gave a brief introduction of the IFTC and also presented a formal vote of thanks. |
