International
Film & Television Club
As is well known, India is the largest film
producing country in the world. Around eight
hundred films in various languages are made
in the country every year .Close to sixty
satellite television channels are currently
Operating in the country.
On a suggestion from a section of the industry,
it has been decided to lend support to the
film & television professionals in their
work by establishing International Film &
Television Club (IFTC) as an adjunct to the
Asian Academy of Film & Television and
the Intenational Film & Television Research
Centre.
Broadly speaking International Film
& Television Club will aim at
- Promotion of good films and television
programmes through screenings, retrospectives,
seminars and symposia.
- Promotion of International contact of
film makers and television professionals.
Circulation and exchange of films and
television programmes at national and
international level.
- International exchange of films and
television professionals.
