Start
your journey as a film actor from the acting
classes of Asian Academy of Film & Television
Acting classes, at Asian
Academy of Film & Television, not just
teach you how to act, it is a process that
enriches you as a person. Being a reputed
film and television institute, we understand
that to become an actor one needs to possess
some fine skills that are not written even
in the best books on acting. You need to
be a sensitive, well behaved, composed person,
so that, you can sharpen your fine skill
of critical appreciation of the human emotions.
These are the qualities that will not only
make you a better actor, but also a better
human being, and we think that, to become
a good actor, first you need to become a
good individual. While designing the curriculum
for the acting classes, we have considered
all these facts and at AAFT, we always keep
these factors in mind while carrying out
the acting
classes.
At the acting classes,
you are prepared to act for films through
extensive verbal and non-verbal communication
training. The acting classes, that take
place between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. (Monday
to Friday), expose you to each and every
aspects of acting. Our experienced and award
winning faculties, who take the acting classes,
make sure that you develop a keen sense
of observation, ability to absorb and skill
to imaginatively create and project a character.
Along with these, our acting classes also
train you to develop a sense of rhythm in
the movement and sense of music in the speech
through lessons in music and dance. Besides
the regular acting classes, students at
the AAFT
acting school are required to participate
in the current affairs and fictional television
programs, produced during the session at
the Marwah Studio, following the standard
industry norms under the watchful eyes of
our faculty.
"Acting is much more
than making use of the voice and flexing
the body. AAFT has indeed developed unique
curriculum for the training of actors.",
said Kamal Hassan, Film writer, director,
actor.
As you have already got
an idea of the quality of training that
our acting school provides to the students,
we must tell you about some other benefits
that have made Asian Academy of Film &
Television a better place to learn acting
than most other acting schools.
AAFT is a film school
within a Film City - Asian Academy of
Film & Television is within 100 acres
of sprawling film city at Noida that also
houses the Marwah Studios. Marwah Studios
is one of the busiest studios in the country
today, with state of the art facilities
that match with the international standards.
Today reputed directors from Bollywood and
other parts of the country choose Marwah
Studios for shooting and post production
jobs. Popular films like Bandit Queen, Dil
Se, Abhay, Bewafaa, Bunty aur Babli, Fanah,
No Entry, Milenge Milenge, Run, Sirf Tum,
Prem, Badhai Ho Badhai and many more were
shot at the Noida Film City. So, while learning
acting
for films at AAFT, you can benefit from
the regular activities of the studio.
AAFT shares the same
campus with a Research Centre and a Film
Club - Along with the effective and
knowledge based learning process at the
acting class, AAFT students are regularly
exposed to the contemporary "World
Cinema" as experts from different
parts of the world come to our film research
centre. As a student, you get ample scope
to enrich yourself from the workshops and
seminars that are regular conducted by visiting
professors from all over the world.
AAFT is supported by
the Indian Film Industry - While getting
all the valuable lessons of acting at the
acting class, as a student of AAFT you will
get the chance to meet some of the biggest
stars of the Indian Film Industry. As
we have close ties with Bollywood and other
regional film industries, we have a long
list of patrons from these industries. Among
them Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Sridevi
Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Anupam Kher, Tabu,
Shabana Azmi, Mallika Sherawat are just
a few names that we must mention. These
noted artists and some of the brilliant
film directors like Sawan Kumar Tak, Ram
Gopal Verma, Subhash Sagar, Indra Kumar,
Mahdur Bhandarkar, Muzzafar Ali, Govind
Menon, Subhash Ghai, Satish Kaushik keep
coming to AAFT and share their experiences
and suggestions with our students.
AAFT students work for
in house productions - While studying
at our acting school the learning process
is not confined in the four walls of the
conventional acting class. Students of AAFT
constantly work in the "in-house"
productions to sharpen their acting
skills, that help them perform better in
their professional career.
These are just a few factors
that have made Asian Academy of Film &
Television, a preferred destination for
learning acting. The best part of the learning
process at AAFT, that sets us apart from
other acting schools, is that you learn
not only in the acting classes but throughout
all the time you spend at AAFT. That is
the reason that our acting
classes have produced actors like R
Madhavan (TV and Film Actor) and there are
number of AAFTians waiting to join him.
