Allan King is a renowned media personality and consultant. He has been well known as a presenter of award-winning television news, Sky News for about 15 years. He has interviewed people from just about every walk of life, from world leaders to pop stars during this period.

At Sky News, Allan anchored many major breaking stories, including the terrorist attack on Glasgow Airport, winning a BAFTA in 2008. He obtained the first television interview with Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams the day after the London Docklands bombing broke the IRA cease-fire in 1996. He was on-air when the Queen Mother’s death was announced, and received praise in several newspapers for his sensitive handling of this sad event. Among his many on-air discussions with political and business leaders, the notable stories he has anchored include the signing of the Good Friday Agreement on Northern Ireland, IRA arms decommissioning, many elections, and the globalization protests in Seattle which turned into riots.

Another significant part of his career has been spent in business and management. He is now one of the country’s top media trainers with clients including the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Home Office, the Cabinet Office and a host of commercial companies including multinationals. His courses cover radio and television interview techniques and effective use of social media. As well as the UK, he has run courses in India, Sri Lanka, Portugal, and Tunisia. Allan King has joined as the International Faculty at the Asian Academy of Film and Television in Noida, India.
