batch of electronic media trainees of Asian
Academy of Film & Television, the renowned
social scientist, communication researcher
and currently director, Centre for Media Research,

television boom has created unprecedented
demand for good programmes. He, however, felt
that there is a dearth of trained and competent
film & television professionals in the

is unsuitable as it has a crippling effect
on the talent. Such a system tends to limit

before converting it into a film or a television
show. Dr. Bhaskara Rao mentioned that as of
now about 61 % of adult Indians watch television.
Earlier speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nafees
Siddiqui, Principal of Shaheed Bhagat Singh
