Movies generally come in many categories, or one may say many genres. There are two primary categories in that movies fall into independent films and mainstream films. Most people do not know about indie films, the word &#8216;indie,&#8217; or what categories of films are called &#8216;indie films&#8217;. Independent films give us the idea that films that are independent and are made on a smaller budget are not made with crores of rupees but with lakhs and sometimes thousands of rupees. Indie films are basically made by indie filmmakers who have little budget or investors to invest in them. Indie films are sometimes made even by known filmmakers to portray some independent stories in front of the world. If one is making indie films, it is obvious that they feel the absence of an investor to invest in the film. There are other options to generate money for an independent film; one is that the director should have a pocket full of beans, or the other that most filmmakers do is that they crowdfund and collect the money from the crowd by showing their concept and how it is going to help society. These films are generally produced and invested in by investors. These films have the support of investors, and they are promoted very well and within a good time period, whereas indie films are not really promoted like mainstream films. The bigger the promotion, the bigger the box office hit for mainstream films. The risk factor is the same, but whether the completion of the film is confirmed or not can\u2019t be said for indie films due to the lack of an investor, unlike mainstream films.
