Prof. Vikas Singh

Prof. Vikas Singh is a Film Research Scholar, an Academician and a Filmmaker. He is working as a Dean, School of Cinema at Asian School of Media Studies, Film city, Noida. His significant publications include ‘Cinema and CSR; Indian Ethos; Social Issues-SMS (Varanasi), California State University SAN BERNARDINO; Claflin University, USA.

He is a filmmaker who has been associated with Yashraj Films, Mumbai and worked as an Assistant Director and as a Production Assistant in Bollywood films like Chak De! India, Tere Sang, Milenge-Milenge and Say Salaam India. He is allied with some prominent National and International documentary films on the subjects like Women & Migration, Health Tourism, Life of Guru Dutt, and more. He has started his career in media, working with Rashtriya Advertising Agency and then Reminiscent India Television Ltd.

He is a Ph.D Scholar, conducting a practical study on the Gender in Film Productions: An Ethnographical Study of Bombay Film Industry. He is UGC-NET-JRF awarded; M.Phil. (Films) from Jamia Millia Islamia; Masters’ (Cinema) from Asian School of Media Studies. Post-Graduation (Electronic Media) and Graduation (Advertising) from Jamia Millia Islamia.

Prof. Vikas Singh is associated with AJK Mass Communication & Research Centre (Jamia University) as an External Examiner and assessor. He is also on the Board of Studies as a member for Faculty of Film, Television & Media at GNA University.
