Students Felicitated at AAFT School of Cinema

On 16th March,School of Cinema felicitated their students, who were awarded in various film festivals and competitions (including Udaan film festival, SGT Festival, Amity Youth Festival, Haryana Govt. Project, etc).Mr. Sandeep Marwah, Hon’ble President- Marwah Studios, graced the occasion and motivated all the students with his words. Not only winners, but a large number of undergraduate and post-graduate cinema students were also present during the screening and almost every screening was followed by a massive applause- each of which reverberated inside Studio.

Following films and teams were felicitated by Mr. Sandeep Marwah:

WINNING FILMS AT UDAAN FILM FESTIVAL

1) “HOW MANY PLANTS WILL MAKE DELHI GREEN”-This team won awards in all five categories that of Best Film, Best Director (Mohit Arora), Best Cinematographer (Prashant Verma), Best Editing (Saurabh Dubey) and 2nd best award for Scriptwriting (Mohit Arora).

2) COLORS (MUSIC VIDEO)-This team won the 2nd Prize for Best Editor (ShivamChaurasia), 3rd Prize for Best Scriptwriter (Manvir, Subodh and Tanya) and the team also won Special Mention for Cinematography (DhruvSethi, PrathameshKumbhare and MeghaGoel).

3) RANG – The film, based on secularism, bagged First prize for Best Script (Gaurish and Nitish), and Prize for Best Film, Best Direction (Kathan&Aarsh) and Best Cinematography (Rajnish).

4) YAMUNA-DYING PRIDE-This film won the Prizes in Cinematography (Aadesh Kale & Karan Singh Bora) and Script (Deepak Sharma and Omi).

5) ROAD TO VALOR- It received the Certificate of Appreciation in the UDAAN Festival. The story is about a blind man who wants to visit India Gate.

WINNING FILMS AT AMITY YOUTH FESTIVAL

1) SMALL-TALK- The film won First Prize in AYF Short Film Competition at Amity University.

2) LAWS OF MOTION- The film got a ‘Special Mention’ at AYF Short Film Competition at Amity University.

WINNING FILMS AT SGT UNIVERSITY

1) THE PARRICIDE – This short film won Second Prize at Media Festival “XPRESSIONS’18”. The film was directed by JimpaSangpoBhutia.

2) PHIL IN THE BLANKS – This short film, alongwith “The Parricide”, won Second Prize at Media Festival “XPRESSIONS’18”. The film was directed by JimpaSangpoBhutia.

FILM AWARDED BY GOVT. OF HARYANA

1) MAKE THEM HUMAN– This Documentary film won the First Prize and a reward of 1.75 Lakhs from the Govt. of Haryana at 8th Annual Students Legal Literacy Mission. The film encompasses issues based on Gender Equality, Domestic Violence and Girls’ Harassment.
The ceremony provided a great platform to students to showcase their work and also gave them a confidence to work even harder next time and a motivation to those who are yet to make a film.
