Sport, Spirit

The beer is chilled. The big screen a riot of coloured jerseys and the company: well, a band of football fanatics. The winger sends in an incredible cross and your favourite Number 10 times his jump to perfection. Goooooooooooooooal! goes the commentator and all hell breaks loose. Chests bump, beer mugs spill and the shouting brings the roof down.

The Beautiful Game is best watched on a giant LCD screen with a beer mug in hand, over some snacks and banter.

“The atmosphere at a live football screening is electric. I’ve been waiting for the last four years to get together with my mates and cheer for Argentina,” says Vibhas Dhingra, 35, a software engineer and football fanatic.

Just don’t look for free kicks.
